The Resonance Chamber
The Resonance Chamber is an oval room located deep within the Folded Horizon Depot, designed for vocal rehearsal and sound checks. The walls are lined with wooden panels that absorb sound, and its unique acoustics allow for remarkable vocal clarity. In the center stands a circular platform surrounded by plush cushions for audience members and performers alike, fostering an intimate atmosphere for practice sessions. Lanterns hang from the ceiling, their warm glow illuminating the rich, textured fabrics draping around the space, providing a sense of warmth and community. A chalkboard stands at one end, where performers jot down ideas and notes learned during practice, with remnants of sketches and snippets of dialogue covering its surface.
History
The Resonance Chamber was established as a dedicated space for performers to hone their craft without needing to step outside the Depot. Over the years, it has been a site for many successful performances showcasing local talents and attracting visiting companies seeking a quiet space to prepare. The original wooden panels were meticulously salvaged from previous performances, embracing a sustainable approach while giving the space a unique character.
