On Serevane’s plateau, certain crystals retain vibrations received as they form. Researchers can read them, but never recover speech without interpretation and uncertainty. A sequence of signals disrupts expedition plans, leaving scientists, logisticians and residents to debate what should be published, preserved or left in silence.

Ice Resonance Lab

The Ice Resonance Lab is a specialized research area within the Shared Twilight House, designed for experimenting with and analyzing sound vibrations captured in ice. This elongated chamber features a series of frost-glass panels that allow for natural light to filter through, creating an illuminating effect that dances along the frosted surfaces. Workstations equipped with advanced sound analysis equipment are arranged along the walls, each set beneath warm, focused task lights that contrast beautifully with the cool hues of the surrounding ice. The atmosphere is a blend of scientific rigor and serene contemplation, promoting both individual research and collaborative inquiry among scientists. At the center of the lab stands a unique sound projection device, resembling a frosted obelisk, which is used to send sound waves into the ice and observe resultant echoes in real time. The soft hum of energy and the quiet whispers of discoveries resonate throughout the space, embodying the spirit of inquiry that defines Serevane.
