A republic lends time, but no one can rewrite the past.

In Orivelle, anyone can deposit an hour of their future in a public clock to lend it to someone else. Borrowed time allows care, learning or repairs, never travel into the past. When deadlines disappear from the archives, clerks, borrowers and clockmakers must recover forgotten promises before one generation bears their entire cost.

Ready-to-play adventures

Chronicle Nook

Adjacent to the Waiting Glass Reserve, the Chronicle Nook is a cozy reading area designed for individuals and groups to study time contracts and agreements. The walls are lined with bookshelves made of dark oak, displaying well-worn tomes filled with the history of borrowed hours. Soft, ambient lighting casts a calming glow over the space, while plush seating areas invite reflection and conversation. In one corner, a sunlit window overlooks the Reserve's organized chaos of vessels and shelves, providing a tranquil backdrop for contemplation.

History

Originally created as a quiet space for clerks during the initial establishment of the time lending republic, the Chronicle Nook has evolved into a communal area for citizens to understand and engage with the ethics of borrowing time. Over the years, decorative murals and expanded seating have made it a beloved meeting place for discussions on community-driven initiatives and proposals concerning time management.
