Nerivane shelters neighbourhoods in pressure domes connected by filtering gardens. Air and current passages are commons whose use is negotiated in assemblies. When oxygen records stop matching measurements, divers, biologists and mediators investigate without sacrificing the reefs that keep the city alive.

The Knowledge Node

Nestled within the Sealed Landing Gallery, the Knowledge Node serves as an informal library and meeting area designed for community discussions about the delicate balance of ecological thresholds in Nerivane. The circular space is framed by large, reinforced glass panels that provide sweeping views of the bioluminescent coral gardens outside, allowing suspended underwater flora to punctuate the azure depths. A series of fossilized coral formations serve as seating, while illuminated scrolls and bioluminescent maps are displayed on stone tablets along the walls. Ambient light from suspended, jellyfish-like lanterns casts a soft glow, enhancing the atmosphere of quiet contemplation and study. The Node is often filled with the hum of conversations as divers and residents share their findings and ideas, all striving to protect their unique home.

The Reefwatch Hub

The Reefwatch Hub is a circular observatory built into the Sealed Landing Gallery, designed for monitoring the health of the nearby coral ecosystems. The structure features wide, curved glass panels that offer 360-degree views of the vibrant coral gardens bathed in diverse shades of blue and green. Inside, a series of workstations with interactive screens line the perimeter, allowing biologists to analyze data in real-time. Coral sculptures integrate with the technology, serving both as art and as symbols of the natural world being preserved. The atmosphere is one of focus and collaboration, with gentle murmurs of scientists discussing their latest findings and the beckoning coolness of the surrounding water creating a refreshing respite from the bustling corridors outside. The soft, amber light from embedded bioluminescent fixtures highlights the organic shapes of the decor, creating a serene yet inspiring space dedicated to conservation efforts.
