About this world

Mirelium’s tiny inhabitants build beneath the veins of a living garden. A turning leaf changes their roads, and watering can move a border. Nestled within the Held Dewdrop Basin, the Arboreal Archive is a circular building crafted from woven plant fibers and pale bark, designed to resemble a sprawling root system. Its walls are adorned with intricate carvings of flora and fauna, celebrating the diverse ecosystem around it. Inside, the atmosphere is hushed and reverent, illuminated by soft, filtered light streaming through translucent leaf-shaped skylights. The central chamber contains a spiraling collection of shelves, each filled with small, meticulous scrolls made from dried leaves, documenting the histories and observations of the basin's inhabitants. Surrounding this chamber, intimate reading nooks sit overlooking the basin, allowing visitors to contemplate the delicate balance between humanity and nature. The Archive's layout encourages quiet reflection and inspires collaboration among residents, suggesting ideas on sustaining the living garden outside.

The Misty Veranda is an open platform constructed from interwoven plant fibers and broad, flat leaves, extending over the edge of the Held Dewdrop Basin. It offers an unobstructed view of the basin below, where the shimmering dew collected in graduated basins glows softly in the light. The structure features delicate railings made from twisted vines that provide both safety and aesthetic charm. Small seating areas dotted around the edges are surrounded by fragrant blossoms, attracting tiny pollinators. The atmosphere is serene, punctuated by the gentle sound of dew drops trickling and the soft rustle of leaves overhead. Designed as a communal gathering spot, it encourages residents to share knowledge and experiences, all while enjoying the beauty of their garden home.

The Shrubberry Pavilion is a performance space nestled among the vibrant roots of a sprawling willow-like plant. The pavilion is formed by woven plant fibers that mimic the natural curves of the surrounding flora, creating an organic structure. An amphitheater-like arrangement of moss-covered bunks invites residents to sit and gather around the central stage, which is accented with vibrant wildflowers.
