The Famiglia is a gritty crime world spanning smoky 1920s speakeasies to modern-day penthouse suites, where organized crime operates as a shadow government with its own laws, rituals, and brutal justice. Five crime families divide the city of Porto Nero into territories — each with its own culture, racket, and blood feuds that stretch back generations. Characters navigate a world where loyalty is everything and betrayal is death; where the line between family and criminal empire is deliberately blurred. Capos, hitmen, consiglieri, money launderers, undercover detectives, and ambitious street-level soldiers all find their place. Every favour creates a debt; every debt creates danger.

Casa della Musica

Casa della Musica is a thriving cultural hub tucked away in a cobblestone square of Little Sicilia, resonating with the rich sounds of traditional Italian music. The building is a refurbished opera house that now serves as a performance space and community gathering spot. Its grand façade features arched doorways and intricate moldings, conveying an air of elegance yet maintaining a rugged charm due to the weathered facade, which tells the story of resilience over the decades. Inside, the main hall boasts high ceilings supported by ornate columns, while cozy alcoves are filled with pianos and string instruments, ready for impromptu performances. The atmosphere is vibrant, filled with the echoes of voices discussing music and community events, complemented by the warm glow of sconces lining the walls. Patrons can enjoy coffee and pastries from a quaint café at one end, where local performers often share their latest compositions. The sound of laughter and melodies intertwines with the enticing aromas of Italian cuisine wafting from the surrounding streets, creating an inviting yet charged atmosphere that embodies both celebration and the enduring spirit of Little Sicilia.

History

Casa della Musica was originally built in the early 20th century as a renowned opera house, a place where the community gathered to celebrate culture and artistry. However, as organized crime began to permeate the neighborhood, the opera house fell into disrepair, its grand performances silenced by the shadows of the underworld. In the late 1980s, a group of local musicians and passionate residents banded together to restore the building and revive its legacy, transforming it into a celebrated music venue. Today, it stands as a testament to the resilience of Little Sicilia’s community, bridging generations through the universal power of music, while subtly navigating the complex layers of loyalty and rivalry that shape their lives. The Casa continues to host events that reflect the neighborhood's rich history, keeping the spirit alive and fostering a sense of unity even amidst the struggles of the criminal underbelly.
