About this world

Iskavel’s neighbourhoods tune gravity through jointly maintained mechanical plates. Their favourite sport moves a sphere without holding it, coordinating trajectories and shifts in the pitch. As a league opens to amateur teams, players, medics and referees face decisions about accessibility, loyalty and funding.

Gravity Training Dome

The Gravity Training Dome is a large, spacious indoor facility dedicated to honing gravity-defying sports skills. Its high ceilings are lined with angular light installations that mimic the movement of the sun, casting dynamic shadows on the floor. The dome features multiple gravity zones, each with adjustable tension plates that can be set for varying levels of gravity, allowing players to practice in a controlled environment. Walls are adorned with digital scoreboards and live feedback displays that encourage competition and improvement. A lounge area with tiered seating overlooks the training zones, giving spectators a view of the ongoing activities. The overall atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, filled with the sounds of bouncing balls and cheering teammates.

Gravity Exchange Pavilion

The Gravity Exchange Pavilion is an expansive communal area designed for spectators and players alike to come together before and after matches. The pavilion is enveloped by large, gracefully arched metal structures that mimic the sleek aesthetic of the First Tilt Court while adding a touch of modernity to its form. The roof is made of translucent polymer panels that diffuse sunlight, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere within while also allowing views of the sky above. Inside, benches crafted from lightweight composite materials offer comfortable seating, arranged in a semi-circle facing the pitch to encourage community engagement. Small kiosks provide refreshments and gear, promoting local vendors and fostering a sense of community. The Pavilion's design includes subtle gravity zones that create small, floating effects for surprise entertainment moments, embodying the spirit of Iskavel through playful architectural features.

Interactive Gravity Wall

The Interactive Gravity Wall is a striking vertical installation that combines art and technology, located within the First Tilt Court arena. Spanning 30 feet high and 50 feet wide, the wall is constructed from a series of metallic panels interspersed with interactive LED displays that light up when players approach. Players can engage with the wall's dynamic visualizations, which respond to their movements, creating illusions of gravitational shifts and altering the wall's colors and patterns based on player interactions. The lower section features soft pad areas where players can practice their throws and kicks without injury, all while illuminated by the softly diffused sunlight filtering through the court's roofing. The energy from the wall injects excitement into the practice area, making it a hub for players to improve their skills and experiment with new techniques.
