This cavernous space, hewn out of the solid ground and reinforced by salvaged metal supports, is illuminated by flickering torches and the warm glow of molten metal being poured into makeshift molds. The walls are lined with tools crafted from scavenged parts, with workbenches organized haphazardly yet effectively, allowing the blacksmiths and tinkerers to efficiently craft weapons, tools, and makeshift machinery for the community. The atmosphere is filled with the rhythmic clanging of hammers upon metal, intertwined with the vibrant murmurs of discussions about repairs and barter.
