Aethoria is a vast continent shaped by millennia of war, diplomacy, and arcane discovery. Its towering mountain ranges hide the lairs of elder dragons, while emerald forests shelter elven courts steeped in forgotten lore. Humans, dwarves, and countless other races vie for dominance beneath skies often lit by aurora-like magical storms. Mages study at the Grand Arcanum in the city of Valdris, while paladins ride out from the Order of the Gilded Dawn to protect the realm from creatures spawned in the Shadow Veil — a cursed rift that tears open between worlds every hundred years. Every character here walks the line between heroism and hubris, forging legends that are sung by bards for generations.

The Hall of Ancestors

Nestled within a vast, dome-shaped cavern at the heart of Dun Kharum, the Hall of Ancestors serves as both a memorial and a meeting place for dwarven clans. The hall features soaring ceilings supported by intricately carved columns, each depicting the lineage of legendary dwarven heroes. The main chamber is lined with alcoves housing statues of famed ancestors, each radiating a subtle glow from embedded crystal gems. These gems, a signature feature of Dun Kharum's craftsmanship, illuminate the hall with a heavenly light, casting shimmering patterns on the rugged stone walls.  A grand circular table made from polished granite sits at the center, where clan leaders gather for discussions regarding trade agreements, community events, and strategies against outside threats. The atmosphere is imbued with solemn respect as the echoes of past glories resonate within the stone, inviting reverence and reflection.

History

The Hall of Ancestors was established centuries ago to honor the revered figures who shaped the dwarven community of Dun Kharum. Initiated by Kharun Stoneshaper himself, it symbolizes the unity and pride of the dwarven clans. Over the years, it has been a site for significant gatherings, where dwarves come together to celebrate their heritage, share stories of valor, and collaborate on future endeavors. The hall is periodically adorned with new carvings and statues as new heroes emerge, ensuring that the legacy of both past and present is woven into the very fabric of Dun Kharum's identity.
