Darsenne is a basin of caravan towns where each well belongs to an association of users. Public surveys determine water shares, with no overlord or endless supply. An old map reveals an aquifer crossing several territories: surveyors, herders and negotiators must shape a shared future before the next caravan drains the reserves.

The Reservoir Nook

The Reservoir Nook is a shaded corner within the Fair Sip Inn, designed for quiet reflection and informal discussions. Curved benches made from local timber surround a circular stone fountain, intricately carved with patterns of flowing water, symbolizing the vital resource that sustains the region. The atmosphere is serene, with the gentle sound of water trickling providing a soothing backdrop amidst the hustle of the common room. Surrounding the nook are potted drought-resistant plants, their muted, earthy tones accentuating the ochre interior of the inn. This space allows patrons to consider their water share agreements while enjoying a brief respite from the arid conditions outside, making it an essential meeting place for those invested in the area's water politics.

The Caravan Library

The Caravan Library is a cozy, accessible space within the Fair Sip Inn dedicated to preserving the knowledge and stories of the region's caravans and their struggles for water rights. The room is lined with shelves made from reclaimed wood, filled with leather-bound books, scrolls, and records of past water agreements, all categorized by clan and region. A large, intricately crafted wooden table sits in the center, surrounded by mismatched chairs, inviting travelers to share tales of their journeys over a cup of herbal tea. Sunlight filters through a series of narrow windows adorned with fabric drapes, casting warm patterns on the earthen floor, creating a welcoming and introspective atmosphere. Maps of water sources and routes hang on the walls, frequently updated with information gathered by the patrons themselves, turning the library into a dynamic hub of information and culture.
