The Ledger Hub
Nestled within the Fair Sip Inn, the Ledger Hub is a dedicated space for caravan leaders and water negotiators to gather and deliberate. This well-lit, airy room features a large, circular table made from polished timber, surrounded by rough-hewn chairs. Walls are adorned with maps and detailed water rights ledgers, the parchment yellowed with age yet carefully preserved. A series of oil lamps hang from the ceiling, casting a warm glow that softens the austere atmosphere. In one corner, a chalkboard displays the latest agreements and disputes regarding water shares, emphasizing the importance of communication and diplomacy in this water-scarce region.
History
The Ledger Hub was established as a response to the increasing complexities of water negotiations in Darsenne. Initially a simple corner of the common room, its importance grew as disputes became more intense, leading to its formal designation in the early days of the inn's operation. Local leaders contributed to its furnishings, enhancing the environment into a focal point of the community's delicate negotiations.
