In Cendrelis, workshops and gardens share energy from collectively maintained solar mirrors. Nothing is free or indestructible: every project needs time, materials and agreement. When two neighbourhoods claim the same heat reserve, craftspeople, gardeners and residents must invent a sharing arrangement that also protects quieter voices.

The Workshop Hearth is a communal crafting area situated within the Common Repair House, designed to encourage hands-on collaboration and creativity among residents. This space features durable, recycled workbenches arranged in a U-shape, allowing ample room for groups to gather around while working on various repair projects. Above, the ceiling is adorned with a system of solar-collecting skylights that flood the area with natural light, enhancing visibility and reducing energy reliance. Walls are lined with shelves brimming with tools and materials—everything from scraps of metal to threads of fabric, all available for communal use. The Solar Nexus is an innovative multi-purpose room nestled within the Common Repair House, designed to harness energy efficiently while fostering community interaction. Circular in design, the room features a central raised platform with seating that creates an intimate gathering space. Surrounding this platform are adjustable ceramic solar concentrators embedded in the walls, capturing sunlight and converting it into usable energy. The ambiance is vibrant, enhanced by elements of nature, including hanging planters with cascading vines that soften the room's edges. Natural sunlight filters through large, curved windows, casting dynamic shadows across the warm reclaimed wooden floors. The atmosphere is lively, teeming with the energy of community brainstorming sessions and workshops aimed at co-creating sustainable solutions.
