The Solar Nexus
The Solar Nexus is an innovative multi-purpose room nestled within the Common Repair House, designed to harness energy efficiently while fostering community interaction. Circular in design, the room features a central raised platform with seating that creates an intimate gathering space. Surrounding this platform are adjustable ceramic solar concentrators embedded in the walls, capturing sunlight and converting it into usable energy. The ambiance is vibrant, enhanced by elements of nature, including hanging planters with cascading vines that soften the room's edges. Natural sunlight filters through large, curved windows, casting dynamic shadows across the warm reclaimed wooden floors. The atmosphere is lively, teeming with the energy of community brainstorming sessions and workshops aimed at co-creating sustainable solutions.
